Frankenstein’s Creature (Student’s Choice)

“The more fully I entered into the science, the more exclusively I pursued it for its own sake. That application, which at first had been a matter of duty and resolution, now became so ardent and eager, that the stars often disappeared in the light of morning whilst I was yet engaged in my laboratory.”–Victor Frankenstein describes his experience of flow

Ten percent of your grade is being allotted to a “design-it-yourself” project that values engagement and flow. For this project, there are 3 requirements:

  1. Content should relate to the integrated humanities spanning from 1700-1914 and/or to a theme we have explored in class.
  2. Content may be in any genre (sketch, poetry, essay, lesson plan), but the whole content must fit on a single sheet of letter paper (approximately 8”x10”).
  3. Compose a 250-word statement that describes your goals and choices.

Assessment

You will be assessed entirely on the degree to which you evidence engagement and flow in your execution of the project.
